Eleven
Morgans converged on Aberga
November, as usual, was a very quiet month for TaffMog - the
lull before the storm of our Winter Weekend at the beginning of December.
We did have our full complement of noggins, however.
The first was at St. Mary’s Golf Club and, I’m pleased to
report that numbers were back to normal after the poor showing of last month
when Gary & Kath sat there for some time, losing all confidence in their
getting the date and venue correct. A warning for the future here – John &
Avril arrived just minutes before 7pm and were refused the meal deal. Not very
customer friendly considering that we normally provide good custom for St.
Mary’s every month. So, in terms of meal deal, for 7pm read 6.45pm to be on the
safe side.
The same crowd as normal were at the Usk noggin to enjoy the
food and convivial banter.
The noggin at the Halfway was also well attended and the
youngest member of TaffMog, 4 month old Oscar, stood his first round of drinks.
CHEERS OSCAR!
If you’re a fan of the “Cars & Coffee” programme on Sky,
or even if you’re not, watch this space as Simon & Natalie are planning a
monthly event starting on the second Sunday in April.
The AGM and planning
meeting will be at the Usk Conservative Club on Thursday, 12th
January from 7.30pm.
Please come along with ideas for monthly runs and/or
weekends as it is only due to the efforts of the members that we enjoy an
active and successful centre.
Minutes of last year’s AGM will be sent out before the
meeting and I’d like any items for the agenda by 5th January.
It’s ESSENTIAL
that you let me know, again by the 5th if you will be attending,
together with your menu choice, as we are providing refreshments. This year it
will be a choice of chicken & chips, ham & chips or a veggie option together
with a dessert.
A Happy New Year to one and all.
